I haven't had good luck bi-wiring using 2 different brands of cables, but you can certainly give it a shot. Try the cat5's on the low end and then reverse the cables and try them on the high-end. Also, you may want to just single-wire the speakers to see if you like the "flavor" of the CAT5 first. Good luck.
