Don't get cute with high voltage. Not smart.Chris and Awe-d-o-file are exactly correct. The insulation is way too soft and thin for high voltage pc's. Do yourself a favor and stop trying to make a mouse a moose.

OTOH, sherod's suggestion is so right on the money. The PC-OCC Neotch NEP-3001 bulk PC available from VH Audio and others is just fantastic AND within electrical code. I use this cord with FIM PC-OCC connectors for my amp. It is the best I have ever found sonically. It comes with an attractive Techflex outer cover, and superior design and materials. Highly recommend.

I am in the process of switching amplifiers from a modified PS Audio HCA-2, which admittedly doesn't need such a heavy gauge cord (but still does sound better for it) to a Spectron Musician III. I only had the Spectron hooked up for a couple of hours before sending out to the factory for the SE upgrade. However, the cord supplied the Spectron extremely well. I will post a review when I get the Spectron back. Initial impression--the Spectron Musician III is one hell of an amp.
