I Think you have missed the point i was trying to make.
The capacitance of the cable either: twisted pair or starquad is not a problem. Infact you can buy some very high priced tweaking filters that are nothing more that a capacitor and a few ancillary bits to get the filtering effect that the higher C cable will provide. It can usually be taken as a given that power supplies are produced to a price as opposed to the best possible design using the best components in most consumer products so thwe addition of any form of filtering will have some positive effect, but saying that it is also possible (but much rarer) to over-cook the filtering and sap the musicallity out of a system.
The 2nd point was that your cable may not give the same results as CVH's one because the geomerty and materials aren't the same.
There are some "hard and fast rules" about cabling geometry - these are described by Maxwell. The rules about the insulation materials are also know measurable scientific/engineering quantities like di-electric co-effecent, absorbstion, leakage, etc. There is also anacdotal evidance from people like Jon Riech for the dyes used in the plastic insulation having a audable signature.
The specifics of your cable will depend on the insulation material and it thickness, both these factors are from my pov unknown so the possible effects of said are; also unknown. + "doing the science" by building and testing is always much better then theoreticaly guessing from the comfort of the computer chair.
It is also difficault (if not impossible to predict) without anacdotal evidance or exeperiance that cable A or B or C will work better or less well with piece of quipment X or Y or Z.
But check out sites like JR's, CVH's and others, cos there is a lot of good infomation in there. There have also been many discussions of these and simular details in the prophead archive inc indepth discussion on maxwells equations.
BTW im glad to see you spell flavour the correct (OED) way :¬)
Good luck on your jouney in the cable world, its a long trip but worth while in the end.
Chris.
