The speaker wire gauge seems awfully thin at 22. How did you arrive at that size? I wouldn't consider anything smaller than 16 ga for full range, or two 18's in a braid.

Additionally, you might consider experimenting with something cheaper than silver if you've never made cables before. Granted, it's not terribly difficult, but if you're not happy with the results, you've blown a few bucks on pretty wire. How about OCC copper with teflon insulation, available from Parts Connexion or VH Audio? I have made two such speaker cables, and they're excellent. At least then you could afford to use heavier wire.
