thinking of DIY cabling...gauge recommendations?

i'm thinking about making my own interconnects and speaker cables for my system. at this point, i'm leaning towards 26 gauge single strand solid silver/unbleached cotton for the IC's (with eichmann bullet rca) and 22 gauge single strand solid silver/unbleached cotton for the speaker cables.

my system is 47 labs shigaraki transport/dac, supratek cabernet dual, yamamoto a-08s, and von schweikert db-99se. any info, insight, direction, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
