Audience Au24 vs Au24 "e"

Has anyone compared the new Audience Au24 "e" version with the older Au24? A friend of mine told me that the "e" version is just a cryo'd version of the old Au24. In any event, he had his older Au24 sent out to be cryo'd, it will be interesting to hear the results. Any experience with the "e" version or a cryo'd Au24?
