Two Speaker Cables Hooked Up at Same Time

Hope that I am not too misleading w/this subject. I have a pair of speaker cables with banana terminations hooked up to my speakers along with a pair of speaker cables terminated with spades hooked up at the same time. Only one of the speaker pairs is hooked up at the amp end. Does this extra speaker cable, even though it is not hooked up to the amp, affect the impedance seen by the amplifier?
