I don't see how someone can reverse engineer a cable like this by using a simple X-ray of it. Reverse engineering on a cable like this requires completely diassembling it piece-by-piece, acknowledging what all parts are made of, and even then, exact re-copying would be a gamble. The end result might be a "close, but no cigar" cable. Would the cable be worth the $500.00. Maybe, if the sound was close and the quality of parts was equal or better. I would have to know before trying it, however, that this company would be clear and free from copyright, patent, etc. infringements. If not, then I'd pass.
