Hey Norman,

THat is very interesting. I never would have guessed that the bass would be flabby with 24 g and not with 16.

YOu are right that I mostly use planars and that my experiences might be colored from that.

I did use 26g in my sub and noticed a more articulate experience.

The good thing though is that you figured out what worked for you best, and it didn't break the bank.

I guess every speaker/ amp interaction is different and that I why I recommend the $6 experiment.

You are totally right about the magwire having super thin insulation. Less of a worse dielectric is better than more of a better dielectric I suppose.

DId you try 30g?
