RE: Using RCA couplers instead of cables

Another issue is direct vibration transfer into the DAC via the loudspeaker enclosure -- while a level of vibration may transfer via an interconnect cable interface, there's no wiggle room when the DAC is virtually "mounted" upon the loudspeaker enclosures back panel (granted, the powered loudspeakers amp is also mounted to the same...).
