Thanks for all comments and suggestions so far.
Lately I have been experimenting with a few affordable microphone cables:
Musiflex Connectronics, stranded copper with conductive thermoplastic shielding. Sounds OK, but nothing special really.
- Sommer Carbocab 225 wich has conductor smoothing material made of high-density carbon directly applied to the concentrically stranded litz. A very silent, detailed cable.
- Also tried Van Damme Star-Quad cable wich have a mix of ofs copper and silverplated stranded conductors - sound nice but a bit brighter than the Carbocab and the Musiflex. VD throws the biggest soundstage.
-Also tried a shielded stranded silverplated teflon wire from eBay (seller Navships)wich sounds a bit bright and forward, maybe the brightnes masks the layers in the soundfield a bit....
All cables terminated with Neutric XLR with silverplated connectors. But in the near future I will try and order some Vampire xlr connectors and a few meter of pa-02 or CCCII copper wire an try out also. This is fun....
Anymore suggestions are welcome - rgds Jan
