Shield material effect on sound

I did two identical twisted pair IC, one shielded with a copper braid, the other shielded with a tinned copper braid.
The former sounds warmer than the latter!
I'm a bit confused.
My question is:
it's possible that the material of the braided shield (copper o tinned copper) interact with the twisted pair so strongly to the change the sound balance?
