Stereovox Firebird. Seems like I noticed you had one of the upper end
Stereovox IC's. I've used the Firebird in two systems with great results. What I find amazing at this price point is the detail without
sacrificing musicality. Great soundstage, too.
I am, however, extremely fond of Cardas. Even though I haven't tried the Golden Ref., my guess is that, compared to the Firebird, it would be slightly richer, perhaps a bit darker(not necessarity a bad thing at all), but still detailed.

By the way, I don't bi-wire, but use the Stereovox HDJC jumpers....this
was a HUGE improvement over the stock jumpers...I had never experienced
such an improvement with a jumper. Fuller and more relaxed sounding, and
better balanced from top to bottom of frequency extremes.
