The Power wraps clean things up -- somewhat similar to good line conditioning. There are no restrictions of dynamics, however. The result I get is one of a lowered noise floor, less grunge, smoother highs, fewer electronic artifacts so the music is more natural and stronger, more solid bass.

Using the smaller wraps made for video, they reduce eye strain, clean up images and improve color saturation on my computer monitor.

It's going to be system dependent, but I don't find their effect to be overly subtle. If you benefit from improved power cords, you will get a benefit from the wraps. They can improve aftermarket power cords as well. I use them succesfully on the Marigo cord feeding my DAC and on the VH Audio cords feeding my transport and jitterbug. Incredibly, a Power Wrap even helps the VH Type 3 cord feeding my jitterbug.
