purist audio vs virtual dynamics: cable handling/setup

curious as to how heavy and flexible the PAD cables are in comparison. My VD masters are ungodly stiff and have to be 'pre-bent' and then manhandled into place. They are also so heavy they are pulling on the cable sockets and sometimes almost pull the gear off the rack. The Cardas I had previously were, by comparison, wet noodle limp... I just plugged them in and let them hang.... and very light.

I'm wondering how the PAD cables fall, specifically the cable ranges from the aqueous anniversary up to the purist anniversary.
