Well, I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with these speaker cables. For the price that I got them at, I'm extremely happy.
I love the Furutech locking banana's all the way around. The cables are well made, very flexible, and are a perfect for my little decent 2 channel system.
What's interesting, if you read the technicals specifications on the Pear website (and through a phone conversation I had with the chief designer - Adam Blake), they are really just a scaled down version of the top-of-the-line Anjou.
I want to hook them up using my Klipsch speakers, which are more appropriate with my little chip amp. However, using these speaker cables with my inefficient Buggtussel's, they are very good.
What stands out for me: quietness, quickness, details/clarity, authority with the mids and lows (can't really tell with the highs due to using tubes)
Are they as good as my Pursang S speaker cables...no way. However, at a fraction of the cost, they are an outstanding value. I'm impressed with the guiding principle design of the Pear cables.
There are a number of choices out there and I wish that I could try them all. I think that they warrant a try if you're in the market. I'm just trying to express how they work in my system with my components. YMMV
I'm going to write another update following them being hooked up to the Klipsch speakers.
