Over the years, I've tried powercords on TVs, simply because I wanted better TV sound. But now that I have separate monitor and satellite receiver, the powercord on the monitor is strictly for video performance.
My friends and I have tried Acrolink P/C-046; API Powerlink-313; AQ NRG-5; Cardas Golden Reference; Kimber PowerKord Gold; MIT Z-Cord II, Shotgun AC2; Nordost Valhalla; Tara Labs Air AC, The One PC; Wireworld Aurora.
Be aware that on some monitors, the space is so tight, the barrel of the IEC plug may not fit.
Each powercord seems to treat that layer of static or smog that forms a film over the picture. My friends have better eyesight than I do, and they are more adamant about some powercords making the picture quality more accurate. Some claim that the colors are more lifelike, less like cartoons. I can concur with that. And some say that certain powercords make the monitor look "smoother," so that slow-mo scenes, and shots of rapid movement, like that of a lion chasing a wildebeast, less jagged.
Alas, regular 4x3 broadcasts are so bad over my 42", 46", and 52" screens. A powercord can't be expected to clean that up. If I didn't have a fancy powercord on my monitors, I wouldn't lose any sleep. Nevertheless, my Acrolink P/C-046 doesn't seem to do any harm, so it has remained in use.
