Cable burn-in between Pre and Amp with Amp switched-off ?

Hi ,

Can i burn-in IC between Preamp and Amp with the Amp switched-off ?

If yes, then we can turn the preamp volume much higher than normal listening level (therefore higher current flowing through the cable)for more effective burn-in, whilst not disturbing the peace at home.
