so nobody has any input directly comparing Cardas IC's to VH Pulsars?

How about from Pulsars to Chris' spectrum CU's? I'm not a huge fan of locking RCA's, I hated dealing with some WTB's I had prior. If it helps, the gear is: rega apollo to primaluna prologue 1, feeding VSA VR-1's via anti-cables... TIA!
