I quickly browsed the Arcam A32 specs. In stock form, this is a 2-channel amp that has no digital input or any kind, but has an expansion slot for an optional digital input module that converts the stock amp to a multi-channel home theatre amp. You provided no information on whether your amp has expansion module installed. The audio input RCA's on the back of your Arcam look the same as the digital output RCA on the back of your DVD player, but you shall not connect a digital output to an analog audio input. If you're not sure which RCA should plug into which between the two units, don't try it or you run the risk of damaging them.
