I'm demo'ing Cardas Crosslink and Twinlink. I can recommend both highly and both should fit your budget. Cardas gets the rap of being to the romantic side of neutral but I don't think so. I find both very resolving, natural, grain-less and good in pacing, surprisingly so. I didn't care for Kimber Hero in my system -- too upfront and bright. Maybe Kimber would work in yours, though. Of all the interconnects I've tried so far, the Cardas has sounded most natural. Several other dealers have recommended JPS Labs Ultraconductor so you should consider that, too. I'd do what I'm doing: call up Audio Advisor and other big outfits and order a few up to try. The big outfits all have return policies. I'd call Cable Company, too. They seem to know their business (they keep a database of customer comments on various cables with different components and speakers).
