Thanks again for a great review.

Im one who doesnt like the SWO-XXX 'spotlighting' on my front end (although its fine on my poweramps) and I have to agree that the R1, C-004, P004 combo is fantastic. I have it feeding my front end via an isolating transformer and preamp (Modwright Signature) directly via some Neotech NEP-3001 cable. I love it.

Mines only got 300 hours on it so it got more time to settle but it will be hard to be objective from this point on as Ive just upgraded all 16 caps in my preamp. But from what I have heard so far I love the combo and recommend it without reservation.

And the way I terminated my cables was to emulate a poor mans M1/F1. I wrapped the ends in a thick strip of ERS cloth and used a 1 1/2 inch heat shrink to seal it tightly around the barrels.
