Hi.

it will be voiding the manufacturer's warranty if it is still available.

Besides, not many like destroying the original beauty of the speaker cabinet besides the warranty issue.

If sonics is put above all, & warranty is no longer valid for old speaker systems, direct soldering will eliminate typically lousy binding posts & replacing the typically tiny cheapie interconnect hook up wires inside the speaker cabinet with larger gauge, say #12 OFHC wires as I have done years back with my 2-way KEF speaker systems.

It surely will improve the sound.
