Looking for a moderately/cheapo priced PC for CD player and DAC, preferably something that puts the emphasis on lower mid/midbass and slam. My sound is very forward w. good imaging and has a lot of upper mid/treble detail. But it does not rock very well when playing...er...rock. I have tried the Absolute PC and Hudson Audios 'Audiopath', the first one not doing much wrong but it 'flattens' the soundstage and it's adding to the forwardness, the AudioPath sounding much more spacious and relaxed but it puts the emphasis on treble and bass extension and leaves the mids a bit empty in my system (all 47 Labs Shigaraki and 4.5" single drivers). cheers
