I connect the speaker cable + to the tweeter and the - to the woofer, while using high quality jumpers in the process. As others have stated when using a single run in non-biwire configuration everything is somewhat experimental. Have some fun with it.

I'll be getting into a biwire set-up shortly using separate runs, so we'll see how it all compares in my system.
