I have used and still use VH Pulsars, VH DIY fine silver I.C.s. I have compared these to Tara Labs Air 1s, as well as Siltech SQ28 G5 I.C.s.In my system, the Pulsar's strength are its high resolution and clean sound. There is little hash and minor details come through very well. In the end, I prefered it to both the Tara Labs and Siltech cables.
For those who's system is on the lean side, one might find it making the sound overly lean. I should make clear I never find the Pulsars bright. It seems to be able to give you the clarity without any harshness.
If you can DIY, you might want to consider Chris Ven Haus's DIY fine silver I.C. which I find is the best of the lot.
