I am looking for 200ft of 24-28g silver wire preferably uninsilated to make a pair of speaker cables. 300ft if I make another pair for biwiring.I searched all the regular sources, and here is what it will cost for the first pair:
homegrown: $450 for 200ft 24g/ teflon
Vh Audio: $480 for 200ft of 28g/ cotton
a-m systems: $400 for 200ft of 27g bare
Reference Audio: $680 for 200ft 24g/ polyestermideHandmade electronics: $171 for 200ft of 24g bare
Micheal Percy; $130 for 200ft 26g/ bareWhy are the last 2 significantly cheaper than the A-M systems wire ( I understand the others being more because they are insulated)?
Has anyone ordered from any of these last 2, and what was the experience like?
