Hi beppe,Just because you read someone said "ICs based on solid core/litz conductors need more time to break-in" doesn't mean that is true! :-))
However, what I suggest IS true is that any component change in your system needs a few weeks "run in" before it will sound its best. That doesn't mean that you can't instantly tell that something is better ... but if it sounds worse, you need to give it, say, 40-100 hours.
A case in point ... I recently installed a TKD stepped attenuator in my preamp. Instantly, I could tell it sounded better than the Cermet volume pot it replaced. However, I had been told that this attenuator needs 40 DAYS to fully break in ... and all I can say is, yes, it is getting better day after day!! :-))
