Nylon in place of Cotton in speaker cable construction

How would nylon (specifically the outer jacket from military Parachute cord) work as an insulator for speaker cable conductors?

I'm thinking of using a 16Ga fine strand OFC stripping the origional clear plastic (PVC?) type insulation coating the wire with Pro Gold to help keep it from oxidizing then wrapping the wire with cotton thread in a cross hatch pattern with about one twist every 1/2" and then slipping this into the Nylon fabric tube you get when you pull the center strands out of parachute cord. Then making a Quad Star type cable using 4 of these made up conductors. I can get the Para cord in RED and Black which I thought would make a nice combo from a visual point.

The Para cord can be bought for $.12 a foot local so it's prett cheap.

I figure I would have to use a Nylon mesh over top of it to help it keep it's shape as the real fine strand wire does no hold shape very well. But by using something like 1/4 at close to it's max stretch the conductor colors would show through.

For reasons beyound all control my speaker cables are 20 foot runs so I need something that can deliver the signal. Speakers are HPM-100's the Amp is a Pioneer SA-9100.

If I'm nuts just tell me I can take it.
