follow-up in hd14 cables plus pics of new diy lifts

Just a few notes to say that I am quite satisfied with the so-called 'hd14 diy speaker cables' that I've posted about in previous threads. Below is a link to a page that offers identification photos for those who would like to do similar. I have to admit that it can be confusing to fish among the various types of power cable in the store and wonder what if anything is the difference between brands of similarly specified power cords.

Photo above is the latest iteration of my bamboo tripod cable lifts. The bambo is naturally oily and resistant to adhesives.....so I've found. The previous epoxied tripods would easily break their bonds. So I have resorted to the time tested method of lashing. Sisal twine and or hemp string. The sisal twine seems to hold up the best. The method of lashing is to soak the twine previously then tie the lashes wet. After the completed tripod has dried, the lashings shrink and tighten. More details on the various cable lift ideas I've tried are also at the link below.
