The solid core can be an issue with a lightweight connector like the cable pods. With spades, though, the cable pods are fantastic, very good connectors.My favorites are still the cardas patented type though, you can get incredible torque onto them, and they don't have ANY proclivity to 'spin' or any likelihood of failure. I do replace the screws with stainless though (took me forever to find the right threading and length in stainless, and the heads are too bloody big) but they're a great connection system.
But then so are the eichmanns :)
