RE speaker cable

You might want to consider something other than the Cobalt ultimates, they are, in essence, just oversized zip cords dressed up nice. On top of that, the 10 ga. wire size means that a certain amount of transient smearing will probably occur, a single large conductor like that has sonic issues, that is why virtually every high performance speaker cable that provides similar DCR, uses multiple individually insulated wires of smaller size, OR uses a unique geometry to avoid the sonic problems of a single large wire.

Some alternatives to that particular cable might be:

(Star-quad wired, using two 16 ga. conductors for each polarity. which equals 13 ga. total equivalent ga., and have foamed PE insulation, instead of solid PVC insulation) Price is similar to the Cobalt.

This is a version of my own Cross-Conected 89259 speaker cable design, which is a cross-connected coaxial cable, with a total equivalent ga. of 13 1/2, and it uses foamed and some solid teflon as the insulation.
Price is slightly higher than the Cobalt.

Note that I am not affiliated with Element Or BetterCables, this is just an FYI, I provide the details on building a set of the CC89259 cables at:

BTW, get spades for the terminations, IF your system can handle them, other wise look for locking banana's as a second chioice.
