Thanks for the detailed review. I installed 6 sets on a pair of (tri-wired) speakers I upgraded. I also had the center hex screw problem, but not the extent of other installation issues that you had. I was able to find longer hex screws at a specialty fastener shop. I wish my current speakers had them as I thought they were the best posts I have used. However, as a consideration, they do not accomodate any attachment other than spades, and also do not easily accomodate jumpers. If you get the bare copper, be prepared to clean them occasionally. In a conversation I had with Cardas, they recommended the rhodium plate over the bare copper, due to potential corrosion issues, although they acknowledged some users like the sound of the bare copper better.
