Affordable Speaker Cables

Hey all,

I'm looking for some decent speaker cables to connect my Spendor s3/5's to my McIntosh MA6100. I tend to prefer a warm/musical presentation, but I don't like an overly laid back presentation either; I like some attack. I listen to mostly indie music with some singer songwriter and jazz thrown in as well. I'd like a pair of cables to complement my system and musical tastes, but I can't spend more than $100 for a pair of cables around 8ft in length.

The amplifier has only spring clips and they are not large enough to fit banana plugs. I've read some bad things about pins and tinning, so it seems like it would be best for me to use raw wire to connect the speakers to amp. On the speaker side I will probably go with banana plugs.

Initially, I was thinking of the Belden cable from Blue Jeans cable, but reading through the archives revealed some negative things about the PVC dielectric. I then saw the Speltz anti-cables but it appears that they may not be the answer either. Considering all of my requirements, any suggestions for a newbie like me?

Thanks much.
