Norm, Chris, Scott and All,Please let me add my sentiments and condolences to Bob's family, friends and associates - John, Tony and all the dealers and customers who have had the pleasure to work with Bob.
I will never forget the man that convinced me that AC cords and selective parts can make a very big difference in this hobby ... nor will I forget that big scratchy voice and sense of humor that were so much a part of the man.
From that first (very lengthy phone call - more due to Bob's generosity and passion, than any knowledge or curiosity that I held) ... to the receipt of that first pair of Goldstein AC cords ... to my wife's amazement when I added the cords to a pair of VAC 90 amps - "Wow, what did you just do - that sounds great!"?
Over the years, Bob led me to the G&D products, his modded Entec Number Cruncher DAC, the line and Bybee Suckers, Eagle outlets, pointy thangs and of course, his great cords ... even his secret discovery of a wonderful inexpensive digital cable that ultimately led to the creation of his ICs and speaker cables.
Bob, I look forward toward the next time we share a bit of Bubba's Bar-b-Que. I hope the dam repair business is prosperous where you now reside!
Rest-in-peace my ... no, our friend.
Scott
