If your system is revealling enough and dialed in, you will notice the difference. I have tried Flavor 4 with and without Gold Wattgate's and there is an improvement, especially in transports. There is less glare and more clarity. I have not compared gold with rhodium--however, my transport uses a rhodium plated Furutech IEC Chris sold me.
