The prefered construction for the Quad CC 89259 speaker cable is to mark each cable for identification, and tape one end of the coax group of 4 together with masking tape, and spiral the group of four in a twist together, trying to keep the 4 in the same relation ship, that is, do not allow one to slide past another. Tape the final end temporarily.

Now, you connect any two together just like the regular CC 89259, then, imagining that these are now "on top" of the other two cables that are left, terminate those two per regular CC 89259. While unconencted to each other, use the coding of the 4 coaxial cables to establish the same hook-ups on the other end, checking with an ohm meter to assure proper termination at both ends.

Now, in order to maximize the quad set, we will star quad cross-connect, by connecting the top right lead (the combination of the braid from one, and the center from the other coax) to the bottom left lead, and the top left lead to the bottom right lead. Pick one set of leads for positive, and one set for negative.

If you look at the diagrams at my web site, just mentally stack another one on top, and connect as per the last paragraph.

Jon Risch
