has been available in Australia fro some months. 24/192 CD upsampling, balanced 2CH out, 14-bit/108Mhz video and so on, though no SACD.
Cheers,
Paul.

Is it of the same build quality as the 9200 was? Or have they dumbed it down and increased resolution capacity? Seems to be the standard way Japanese companies work. Build out perceived quality and then cut costs and try to add seeming better resolution. Never seems to quite cut it a la Sony.
...it sounds terrific.
By the way, I also have a Sony 9000ES and a Meridian 588 CD player.
The Tosh 9500 is a first-rank Red Book and DVD-A player and a top-notch video source. If you can read Spanish I could e-mail the review I wrote for a local audio mag.
Doing a google search will turn up a dozen sites. It is the same case as the 900e (9200) only black (uggh) , and appears to be the same build. It can also be run as an external DAC, having digital inputs. Street price in Aussie is $3000, the same as the 900e was in its heyday.
Cheers,
Paul.
DVD-A capability. Too bad!!!

this info does come up at one site I visited first. Nothing about DVD-A. I have since seen the DVD-A mentioned. ThanksKey Features

The latest 999ES is a prime example. But what do you expect from a company that stareted out with 14 bits went up to 20 and then dumbed it down to just one. ;)
