integrated amp (after one power channel stopped working) and it doesn't have any tubes in it (I don't think that there were ever any there in the first place). Now I am completly stumped as to what could possibly be wrong. Both channels of the preamp section work fine. Should I try putting some tubes in it, then maybe it will work?
Follow Ups:
draw a diagram of where the tubes go? I have one of these amps in my 2nd system & even though it doesn't get that much play time maybe the missing tubes are why I prefer the other *element* amp I have. It's made out of air.
like the sound of this amp and if we get a MF dealer in my area (aside from Upscale Audio) I will check to see if it is feasible to have it repaired.I have not had much luck with reliablity from MF products though (two MF amps and both have failed - figure that this one has had 9 months use in the past 3 years).
gear when the E-624 came out & it was great. I sold it for a Meridian & then bought the X-A1 for the second system. Then I found another E-624 at a local dealer on consignment & grabbed it. No problems with these three pieces & if I didn't have the big rig I would be content with this set up.
