Hey! Lookin' good ain't everthin'!Seriously, there are a couple of solutions to the ugliness problem. Since they are relatively small, put them under the chassis. Or if they must be on the top, then cover them with a BUD or Hammond diecast aluminum box (works for interstages and line outputs) or possibly a simple NEMA electrical box (works for outputs and powers).
Follow Ups:
As i said YES i think they sound just fine.Putting them on chassis is dificult though and requires more planning.
Now, ignore my comment on the looks and can someone answer me whats the best OPT to use for PP45 or PP2A3??
The Acrosound TO-330 makes an incredible PP45 amp--maybe look for an equivalent.
If you are planning to run them cathode biased (strongly recommended), then the 2A3s will do best with the LL1663/PP (5K:8ohms). The 45s would be happiest with a higher ratio, like 10K:8ohms, but the only Lundahl output that will do that is the LL1679/PP, which is obviously power output capability overkill. Either will sound really excellent.
