Re: Reviews

G'day,
I recently made a Moth record cleaning machine from a kit and while searching the archives on Vinyl to see if i could glean any useful info there i found a lot of folks asking about the kit so after building it i posted a review. I'm leery about writing a review as it's easy just to write a hagiography about a piece of kit but as this was just a cleaning machine i thought i'd give it a bash. It took a while to write but despite the interest shown in the archives and the endless bloody questions about cleaning records no bastard responded even with a 'thanks' RB posted as he always does cos he's me dad and DPY because i think he took pity on me but it's bloody discouraging to get no responses. Imagine being a writer and no bugger buys your books.
I keep on thinking i ought to write a review of my SME turntable as there isn't any here but it would take a week to write properly and then if i got no responses or some goose responded saying i was an audio snob because i didn't buy a $50 turntable i think i'd slash my wrists and kick the dog. It must be like being the editor of Stereophile and reading the asylum at the end of the month to be confronted with Sterophile Sux by endless posters. You'd want to respond with a big "Get fucked! " wouldn't you? Then you'd have to put up with even more posters saying what an arsehole you are and they won't ever buy your rag arsed mag ever again as you're so rude and then when the mag folds next year you'll get the same folks whinging about how life is so unfair cos their favourite (cheap) magazine has gone under. Maybe the idea is to copy and paste a review from TNT or something and add and delete some words to make it look like you reviewed it? Add " strewth! This ........ made the wife so horny with it's huge bottom end that me knob's worn down to a stub" rather than " The rather pronounced bass from this.......was a joy to behold"
I dunno

Regards
Paul.
