Restricting or outlawing gun sales and/or ownership in a country (such as the USA) where privately owned guns and ammo have been stockpiled for decades, would have little effect on the rates of gun violence. And any attempt to confiscate existing weapons stockpiles would almost surely result in even MORE gun violence, perhaps even civil war.A bill must be passed requiring all citizens (who have passed suitable background checks) to wear protective kevlar helmets and vests, at least while traversing public property. We don't need no stinkin' gun restrictions.
