House Of Cards, The Black List, ISIS reportage and other political violence seem quite tame now

Currently reading "The Age Of Revolution", Book Three of Churchill's History Of The English Speaking Peoples.

The four volumes always looked forbidding to me, sitting on my late father's shelf, but are in fact more entertaining than fiction in the nearly conversational style Churchill depicts the politics, violence and intrigue of his subject.

Some might say the work is deserving of a "bucket list" but I'm not a fan of jargon and would recommend not waiting as, I did, until that term has real meaning.
