Preseason, Oregon, UCLA, Stanford and USC were ranked 3rd, 7th, 11th and 15th respectively. Since that time all four teams have slipped noticeably in the polls. In fact, Stanford has dropped out of the Top 25 while UCLA barely hangs on at 25. Arizona and Arizona St. are the two bright spots. With a bit of luck they could finish in the Top 20.
Looking at the SEC, Bama and Auburn are about where they began the season with Georgia, Ole Miss and Mississippi State moving up nicely.
