what I really enjoy is mixing my cameras with live music. Shooting that is very immersive and involving. Photography of flowers--scenery--etc is very satisfying....but the muse...the tunes, the artists...
two weeks ago I was up in Greensprings, Oregon for a music fest...low key, maybe a thousand folks at 4000 feet in an area spared by the fires of 3 weeks ago. The promoter allowed me in early to check sight lines etc. I set up a Nikon with a 150-500 MM (225-750 thirty five MM equivalent) about 40 feet from the stage and stuck with a 18-200MM lens on the 2nd Nikon for the "roving" shots. 650 pix later I was done.
Sent the appropriate ones to the bands I am friends with and sent all of the ones left after the crap was deleted to the promoter. She stuck some up at their site...
Some are good, others snapshots....but the music was fine!
