Mine didn't come with EQ unit. I believe that was for the larger models. Mine were the smallest ones with an 8" woofer and the "super tweeter". Though my speakers have a little EQ knob right on the speaker front for rolling off mid -highs. It doesn't make a heck of a lot of difference. But it gave people some more control over the sound.One thing I know is when I took the woofers out to send them for refoaming, they had HUGE magnets! That could explain the 250 watt max. handling rating.
