Yes Dave ,i have done it the same procedure several times during
the years ;it works for a little then the orrible scratch is
coming back ;i think that the carbon tracks of the potentiometer
are on the last leg ;i own mx 110 since 1990 and i used it for
long years ;it was my first tube and vintage unit and would like
to have it in pristine condition again .
It was checked on ordinary basis by a knowledgeable technician
and he said that i need a new potentiometer (original, if
i dont't want follow the Alps 50 k double pot route )
Thanks anyway for your tip (maybe i will try with the product
you suggest me)
