RE: mx110 new volume control

When I got my C-22 back in 1990 the volume control was noisy/scratchy and I was able to solve the problem by spraying contact and control cleaner into each section while working the control back and forth.

I guess you can I flooded the pot because I put enough in so that it came back out while I was rotating the pot. The runoff was absorbed by a crumpled paper towel under the pot.

I tilted the chassis so that the openings of each section were as upright as I could get them so as to let the cleaner stay in a bit then I tilted the chassis so that the openings were downward to let the pot drain as much as it could.

That very effective cleaner was Blue Wash or Blue Shower but I don't think it's been available since that aerosol can propellant ban.
I now use DeOxit5 after a wash of alcohol or a contact cleaner I get at Home Depot.
