RE: vintage 1970s Pignose 7-100

Cool amp for sure! And the Zappa clip is amazing.

In the early to mid-70s I worked with a group that put on concerts including an annual Halloween Masquerade Ball with 10,000 to 15,000 in attendance. One year our headliner was Country Joe McDonald who, of course, had played at Woodstock. He had an all female backing band that were really good. The following year he invited us to hear him and Barry Melton (aka The Fish) perform in the Jacksonville Coliseum as a duo. They were the opening act for a few rock bands - I think it was Blue Oyster Cult, REO Speedwagon and Foghat. They walked on stage, each carrying a guitar and a Pignose, sat down on folding chairs and played to a packed Coliseum. Talk about traveling light! Of course the Pignoses were miked.
