Over the weekend I found and purchased an extremely nice Marants 2245 receiver. I have been looking for a nice example for some time and I stumbled upon this one local (i.e. can examine prior to purchase and no shipping risk).

Other than a very small scratch on the bottom corner of the faceplate this could be a museum piece. All light work, all functions work, no scratchiness in the controls; very nice.

At the moment I have it paired with a vintage pair of Advents and they sound very nice together. A smaller and simpler assembly than my main systems but very nice and a welcome addition. I have some other vintage Marantz pieces but this was one on my wish list for decades.
